Come and See is designed to acclimate new clergy and lay leaders to the life of the Diocese of Christ Our Hope. It is an opportunity to hear about the history, direction and culture of the diocese while being introduced to key voices and leaders. It is scheduled over a weekend to accommodate bi-vocational clergy and lay leaders. Through a balance of fellowship, fun, worship, presentations, breakout sessions and discussion, those who attend will hear, see, and experience the depth and vitality of our life as a diocese.

Church Planting Assessment: 1pm August 7 to 1pm August 8
The Church Planter Assessment is a 24 hr. period during which church planting candidates and their spouses (if married) are assessed in person by experienced and trained assessors. After this retreat, assessors will submit a written report to the Bishop with their recommendation for each church planter. This session adds Thursday night 8/7 lodging in a shared room as well as breakfast and lunch on Friday. (Thursday night dinner is not included)

Commission on Ministry: Noon August 10 to Noon August 11
The Commission on Ministry (COM) is required for all new applicants to the ordination discernment process. Only those who have been endorsed by their rector prior to registration may attend. COM is a day long series of assessments, interviews, and activities designed to get to know each applicant, and focused on discerning whether the applicant may continue in the ordination discernment process. This adds lodging for Sunday night (8/10) in a shared room and two meals.
